Yassi Pressman
Not many artists get their own trademark so early
in their careers, but Yassi has got that down like a pro who's been in
the business for a very long time. Her signature dance move has got her
fans going wild every time she performs in <i>Party
Pilipinas</i>, and her perky but very strong personality has got
her playing strong, empowered roles on television as well.
Why did you enter show business?
I entered show business because it has always been my dream, even as a kid, to perform
What do you consider as the turning point in your career?
I consider the start of Party Pilipinas as the turning point in my career. It seemed that when the show started other opportunities came my way
If you weren’t in showbiz, what kind of career would you have?
I think I would find myself involved in the theater. I always wanted to learn things and build up God’s gift to us, our talents
What is your biggest frustration/regret?
I haven’t done anything yet, that made me regret that I did it, luckily.
What do most people not know about you?
I don’t think they know I’m afraid of cockroaches and sometimes when I’m alone in the dark, I freak out
What is your most unforgettable moment/experience?
The first time I ever auditioned for GMA. It was after the taping of SIS. Direk Louie was there, and after that I was launched in SOP: Fully Charged. I remember I sang Tattoo by Jordin Sparks
What are you most proud of?
I am most proud and most thankful to my Dad for his support, for always
being there, and for never leaving my side when I need him
What do you value most?
The people I care for, definitely. My family, my friends, and everyone who played a role in my life.
What do you want to achieve?
One day, I would like to be recognized as a good over-all performer. I
would keep on learning, and want to continue learning to dance, sing and
act.
What is your advice to aspiring artists?
Never let the thought of giving up come into mind. Never lose hope.
Never lose faith. Always do your best, and grab every possible
opportunity.
